Saskatoon Amateur Softball Association, with support from Saskatoon Sports Tourism, has confirmed another major event for Saskatoon.

Four busy days of softball business concluded Sunday night at the International Softball Federation's XXV Congress in Oklahoma City, where delegates from 70 countries were on-hand for meetings covering both on and off-field activity. Potential host cities presented their bids for future ISF events and Saskatoon was selected to host the 2015 ISF World Men's Softball Championship.

Saskatoon last hosted the ISF World Men's Championship in July, 2009. The event was one of the most successful in the history of the ISF and had crowds of over 6,000 on a daily basis and had a tremendous economic impact on the city.

A formal media conference announcing the details of the event will follow in the next few months.
