Special Bluebird Night showcases top local country artists

The City of Bridges is gearing up for next year’s Canadian Country Music Awards, and the Country Music Association of Saskatoon is pleased to announce an event showcasing local talent, the CMAS Bluebird Night on Thursday, Nov. 24.

The night will feature Jay Semko of The Northern Pikes, Donny Parenteau who is currently
nominated for seven Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, SCMA Female Vocalist of the Year
Catherine Lewans, Scott Patrick & Danny Fortier from SCMA Group of the Year WYATT, Stephen Maguire, Darlene Tuleta and Kelsey Fitch.

“We are excited to be hosting this Bluebird Night showcasing the amazing artists we have here in Saskatchewan, especially leading up to Saskatoon hosting the 2012 CCMA’s,” said Cristy Beggs, C.M.A.S. President. “It will be a wonderful evening in a gorgeous setting with several local singer/songwriters performing in traditional Bluebird style.”

Hosted at Beily’s in Saskatoon, doors open at 7:30 p.m. and show is at 8 p.m. Must be 19 and over to attend. Tickets are $15 and available online at
