Beaver Creek Birdwatching and Hiking Tour

Event April 19, May 16 & 22, 2024
Time 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Beaver Creek is an attractive wooded valley with several walking trails. Here this creek flows into the South Saskatchewan River. Many native wildflowers may be found blooming here in summer. An indoor interpretive centre on site has displays and washrooms with running water.

During guided Beaver Creek birding tours, we usually select the trail with the best variety of songbirds. These hiking trails are relatively flat with stairs provided in the steeper portions.

Chickadees may land on your hand begging for food. Redpolls, woodpeckers and perhaps an eagle or ruffed grouse might also be found at Beaver Creek Conservation Area.

Novice and experienced bird watchers are especially welcome.
A loaner pair of binoculars may be available if requested.
