This event is our main fundraiser throughout the year. This year our annual walk is titled “Open Minds”. Mental illness can affect anyone regardless of gender, age, race or income. Even though as a society we have made progress, there is still a tremendous stigma attached to mental illness.... Close-minded stereotypes still lead to discrimination and prejudice that can be a greater barrier than the illness itself. We hope you will join us this year as we continue our efforts to “Open Minds”. Registration, silent auction and hotdogs start at noon; entertainment by singer/songwriter Stephen Maguire at 1pm; walk begins at 2pm; closing and cookies at 2:30pm. Registration fee of $25 per participant, waived for donations equal or greater than $25. If you raise $300 or more, your name will be entered in a draw for 2 round trip airfare tickets from WestJet!
