The first “John McDermott Trio” CD has been completed. The CD is a collection
of the Trio’s favorite songs – some original, some old treasures. Also, a new
Christmas CD is ready for the Fall 2012 tour.
For his support for veterans’ causes, John McDermott was made an hounorary
member of The War Amps and received the United States Congressional Medal of
Hounor Society’s Bob Hope Award. He has received five Juno nominations and
has been called the “worthy heir to the famed Irish tenor John McCormack” by
the Chicago Sun Times. John McDermott became known for his rendering of that special song “Danny Boy”.
