The musical, "Cotton Patch Gospel" has joined the power of toe-tapping bluegrass music with the greatest story ever re-told! It's filled with a whole lot of joy and told with a while lot of heart.

The inspiration for this musical was born out of the lives of real people. It is based on the writings of Clarence Jordan who was one of the founders of "Koinania Farm", an interracial commune near Gainesville, Georgia begun in 1946 at a time when segregation was law. In response to the persecution they faced, harassment by day and violence at night, Jordan wrote the "Cotton Patch Gospel".

Jordan's passion was to help his neighbours realize that they were all sisters and brothers. For inspiration, he went to the ‘greatest story ever told' and re-told it set it in their current time and circumstances. He re-told the gospel setting it in Georgia in the 1950's. The fit was amazing!

Decades later Clarence Jordan's work is still making a difference. "Koinania Farm" is still in operation. And Jordan's other great work, "Habitat for Humanity", has grown worldwide.

Filled with JOY and told with heart, this is a great evening of entertainment!
