MasterCard Memorial Cup Trophy Arrives in Saskatoon
SASKATOON, SK – The MasterCard Memorial Cup trophy will be in Saskatoon April 11th and 12th to celebrate the CHL National Championship that will be hosted in the city May 16 -26, 2013. The Memorial Cup will be part of the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit in conjunction with the 2012 Saskatchewan First Nations Winter Games. Fans will be able to see and have their pictures taken with the Memorial Cup at the exhibit held at Prairieland Park.
“Our local host committee is excited to be able to share with Saskatoon’s hockey fans, the Memorial Cup,” said Jack Brodsky, Co-chair for the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup. “It is an important part of hockey history having been hoisted by many great players during their junior hockey careers”.
What: The Memorial Cup on display – Fans can bring their cameras and have their pictures taken with junior hockey’s top prize.
Where: Prairieland Park – Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit
Admission into the exhibit is $5.00
When: Wednesday, April 11th and Thursday, April 12th – from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. each day.

About 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup
The MasterCard Memorial Cup is the Canadian Hockey League championship tournament and will feature the top team from the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, as well as the host team, Saskatoon Blades. The championship will take place May 16-26, 2013 at Credit Union Centre. The 10-day event will include a community-wide celebration showcasing alumni events, concerts and the CHL Awards.
