One of the most exciting new North American Celtic groups, Còig has a combined total of over 30 group and solo awards and nominations, including two East Coast Music Awards and a Canadian Folk Music Award. While the members of Còig all have traditional roots, each brings something more. Chrissy Crowley (fiddle) brings touches of world and contemporary music. Jason Roach (piano) has a jazz degree. Darren McMullen (guitar, banjo, mandolin, and vocals) has experience working in many different genres, including everything from Irish to rock. Rachel Davis (fiddle and vocals) is the most traditionally Cape Breton, but with folk and roots influences as well. Prepare for a night of the best in trad music, in a very non-traditional way.
