  • If you wanted to share the story of your life—or even just a bit of it—how would you do it? If you’ve known the threat of violence or of losing your job or home—or even your children—by being open about your life, how could you share your story—or would you do it all?

LGBTQ+ and two-spirit people in Saskatchewan lead extraordinary lives. Their stories of success and struggle while faced with discrimination, and their march toward equality, need to be shared and preserved.

Spark Your Pride focuses on ways storytelling, art, music, dance, film, and more can express personal history and create Pride in all of us. An eclectic variety of ceremony, discussions, workshops, readings, screenings, even line dancing, happening throughout the museum will immerse LGBTQ+ and two-spirit people—and interested allies—in an inspiring experience honouring Indigenous traditions, exploring healing through storytelling, and discovering strategies to revisit and recount past trauma.
