  • Are your kids ready to get in the holiday spirit?

This December, join the Diefenbaker Canada Centre for a “Victorian Christmas Celebration" to learn all about the 19th Century origins of our modern Christmas traditions! In this festive afternoon program, children  ages 7-10 will learn about what a Victorian Era school was like in the wintertime, how students celebrated the holidays at school, and historic Christmas traditions that are both similar and different to our own.

Children will have an opportunity to make authentic Victorian Christmas decorations, decorate a Christmas tree, play Victorian Era parlour games, sing traditional Christmas carols and so much more!

Please send a water bottle and nut-free lunch. Traditional Victorian Christmas punch will also be served along with gingerbread cookies.

    Victorian Christmas Celebration Dates:

    • Saturday December 3 10:00am to 1:00pm

    • Saturday December 10, 10:00am to 1:00pm
