Balance on the Water

Back To Previous Page
  • Explore. Learn. Relax.

Take a morning for yourself and experience Saskatoon from a whole new angle.  Saskatoon is so lucky to have the gorgeous South Saskatchewan River flowing through the heart of the city. The river supplies power and water to the city, and is an idyllic place to go for relaxation, recreation, and healing. Living Sky Adventures invites guests to experience The South Saskatchewan River by stand up paddleboard (SUP), in the company of owner and guise, Carrie Hildebrand.

Start your morning of exploration in Downtown Saskatoon. The group will be picked up and shuttled to the beauty of rural Saskatchewan. When you arrive, you will find the heavy lifting has been done for you. The boards are ready at the shoreline.

You’re off! Take your time peacefully paddling the 15k back to the city. Enjoy the views of the Saskatchewan River Valley.

You can kneel or stand on your paddleboard. It’s your choice based on your comfort level.  All comfort and skill levels are welcome on this tour.

As the landscape changes from rural and urban, take the pulse of the health of the river using tools of science. Peaceful exercises will help you stay balanced and connected to the body of water you are floating on. Appreciate the importance of water in our lives and the significance this body of water has played in the lives of the people who have called it’s shores home for thousands of years.

The experience ends back in Downtown Saskatoon. Once you arrive, you will be treated to a filling brunch and live music on the shores of the river.

    $295

    * Please note that the paddling portion of the trip will be held at Pike Lake if the flow of the South Saskatchewan River is unsafe for any reason.
