  • Meewasin has been developing a number of tourism activities over the last few years. This year our feature experience is a Grazing Dinner, which is a unique opportunity to join Meewasin in this private and immersive experience, and discover the Saskatchewan prairie in a whole new way!

Your evening will begin with a private hike through the native prairie at Beaver Creek Conservation Area with Meewasin's Renny Grilz. You'll be immersed in the sights, smells, and sounds of the landscape, and learn about why the Saskatchewan prairie is so important. Along the way, you'll meet Shepherd Jared Epp and his sheep and stock dog team, and hear about how they help us manage prairie ecosystems in the river valley. Renny and Jared are not only sought-after experts in their fields - they are true Saskatchewan characters and a lot of fun!

Following the hike, you will be treated to a three-course meal prepared by Chef Scott Dicks and the team at Odla, served outdoors overlooking beautiful Beaver Creek. Odla is proud to be a farm direct restaurant, which means all ingredients featured in the meal are grown or raised within 2 hours of Saskatoon! Your meal will feature Saskatchewan beef and local beverages from 9 Mile Legacy Brewing and Stumbletown Distillery. During dessert, you'll get a chance to watch a live demonstration with Jared and his team and get a chance to get up close and personal to ask questions about the fascinating world of conservation grazing.

This is a small group experience and is limited to 24 people per dinner. Due to the natural features of the trail network, this experience is not considered accessible for guests with limited mobility.

Meewasin thanks the Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association for their support of these special, limited-time events!
