The 3 sustainability-oriented actions that we're proud to have incorporated in our workplace are:
1: Recycling of all paper, glass, and plastic
2: Preservation of Meewasin Valley through low-impact production practices
3: Conversion to efficient LED lighting for performance space
Additional Comments: Preserving the beauty of the Meewasin Valley is vital, as a key component of our festival experience. We strive to leave behind a minimal footprint, and actively work to clean and improve our site, which was a former gravel snow dump.
The three actions that we intend to introduce in the next 12 months are:
1: Reduced internal paper usage in favor of electronic alternatives
2: Active promotion of bicycle and foot traffic
3: Fewer paper marketing materials printed
The three actions that we intend to introduce in the next 2-4 years are:
1: More bicycle racks on site
2: Increased shift towards electronic marketing and communications
3: Close consultation with the City of Saskatoon and Meewasin Valley Authority to develop a consciously green site redevelopment strategy
Additional Comments: As part of the redevelopment of Kinsmen Park and area, the festival is working with various stakeholders in the area to increase active transit, better pedestrian pathways and a drop off loop for individuals with limited mobility.
