Saskatoon Pride
Saskatoon, we're proud to say, is a very welcoming place. Amongst the beautiful wide-open prairie skies and the urban parkland river valley lies unforgettable moments of connection and discovery.
Explore our extraordinary location on the edge of nature. Discover 80 kilometers of urban trails or get on the South Saskatchewan River, which runs throughout the centre of Saskatoon, and travel by canoe, kayak, paddleboard or riverboat to see the city from a whole different perspective. Mix urban attractions like the new world-class Remai Modern with the most comprehensive collection of Picasso linocuts amassed in the world, with craft drinks made from what was recently named the world's best oaked gin at one of the few farm-to-flask distilleries in North America at Black Fox Farm & Distillery, and indulge at local culinary stops in ‘Canada's breadbasket' to taste what is grown right here on the prairies.
Come and connect with our LGBTQ community while visiting the city. It's vibrant, diverse and deeply rooted, with a proud history. This city is a place where you can be yourself - anywhere.
Visit Saskatoon and discover for yourself why it was the only Canadian destination on the New York Times' 52 Places to Go in 2018.
Call for support from Canada's LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce
CGLCC works to support the economic empowerment of the LGBT+ community. This year, CGLCC is continuing its commitment to supporting LGBT+ businesses and more specifically, LGBT+ youth entrepreneurs, via its national OUT For Business Youth Entrepreneurship Program. CGLCC thanks our national partners of the program: The Government of Canada, Higgins & Burke Naturals, Scotiabank, and TD Bank Group.
With the current pandemic presenting new challenges for businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, Canada’s young LGBT+ entrepreneurs in the tourism industry need support and assistance more than ever.
We need your help in our efforts to attract possible LGBT+ youth participants and mentors. We are searching for youth who are committed to their growth and development and driven to realize success in their tourism-based business; and for mentors who have achieved success in their respective businesses or organizations and are looking to contribute to the LGBT+ community by guiding and facilitating the development of a young LGBT+ entrepreneur. More information on the program can be found at www.cglcc.ca/mentorship.
